The classes for 2023-24 batch MBBS students of Govt.Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram will officially commence on 01/09/2023, through virtual mode.The students will be allotted assignment topics via WhatsApp group, by Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry Departments on this day.These assignment topics are to be submitted to the corresponding departments on 13/09/23.The Principal and HOD's of all 3 departments will address the students via a Zoom meeting at 10.15am on 04/09/2023. Further details will be given during that meeting.Physical classes will begin on 13/09/2023 with an Orientation Programme.

MCH receives it's own state of the art neurosuregry operating microscope. This equipment is only available in very few elite multi speciality hospitals in the world. The equipment was donated by Infosys foundation as a part of their CSR. 

Hon. Minister of Health and Social Justice Smt. K. K. Shailaja launched  new website portal for MCH on 13-February-2019 at super speciality block seminar hall. 

SAT hospital's pediatric cardiology surgery to start functioning in multi-speciality block operation theater. This was decided as the equipments have arrived and to migitage operational delay in setting up operation theater at SAT. Machines worth Rs.80 lakhs have been procured including ventilator and heart-lung machine.
